The Vale and Downland Museum

The Vale and Downland Museum is only ten minutes drive away from the Williams factory and represents the best option to see a Williams car.

While you will have a great deal of trouble gaining entrance to the Williams factory you will have no such problems getting into this museum in Wantage town. The museum itself is housed within a converted 16th century cloth merchant’s house and contains a number of items showing the history of Wantage and rural life.

But then at the back of the museum mounted vertically against the back wall and looking somewhat out of place next to an old threshing machine, is a Williams Renault FW16B, as driven by Damon Hill. Spread around beneath the wing are parts from the car. Entrance to the museum is free so you can’t go far wrong!
