Williams F1 donated £2294.50 To Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital following a raffle held at its Grove headquarters yesterday.
Williams raffled off the various corporate gifts it has received over the festive period to its 500 plus employees. This included hampers, confectionary, beverages and electrical equipment. The raffle itself raised £1167.50, but this total was then doubled after learning about the recent theft of a number of Christmas presents at Great Ormond Street Hospital this past week.
Speaking about the donation, Williams F1 Founder and Team Principal Sir Frank Williams said; ‘’Great Ormond Street is a fantastic institution and seemed a natural choice when we decided to raise money this Christmas. Hopefully this money will bring a bit of Christmas cheer and help the hospital continue its excellent work.’’
