First year without factory engines leads to no wins, the first time for 10 years.
Early in the year work begins on the building that will house the joint BMW/Williams Le Mans project.
After performing well at the start of the Le Mans race and leading their class, both the Williams designed BMW LMV12 cars are pulled out of the race on safety grounds.
