Pastor Maldonado leaves the team but Williams continues to benefit from his sponsor’s funding due to terminating their contract early. The Venezuelan is replaced by Felipe Massa fresh from Ferrari. Valtteri Bottas remains for a second season.
Other changes include moving to the Mercedes power plant for the first time and Williams has a new sponsor in the form of Martini drinks.
What a difference a year makes! Williams score more points in the opening race than they did in the whole of 2013 and go on to finish third in the championship finishing the season second only to the dominant Mercedes team.
